2010 ORI Conference Information

ORI is a formal organization with bi-laws and has an executive board and annual membership dues. Each year, one of the member agencies attending the conference volunteers to host the next year's conference.

The executive board conducts the business affairs of the ORI and assists in the annual conference (preparation and planning the upcoming conference, membership roster updates, mailings, etc).

ORI is a stand alone Organization and is not affiliated with any Racing Industry participant. ORI's forum is solely designed to educate and benefit pari-mutuel racing investigators whose primary mission is to ensure the integrity of racing through regulatory enforcement actions. The membership, through their attendance at the annual training conference, determines ORI's focus and direction by majority vote. Its primary focus to date has been to facilitate the exchange of information among its members.

The Organization of Racing Investigators was established in 1991 with the purpose of addressing the problems of the pari-mutuel racing industry as they relate to the integrity and general health of the sport. By holding annual educational conferences and sharing information throughout the year with those who serve the industry, the goal of creating a meaningful working relationship may be realized..
